When we try to buy new smart phone we often See the specifications like screen size, screen Resolution, battery capacity, Ram, Rom, and so on ..out of these important specification is SOC. some times we neglect what type of SOC used in mobile, Some time we don't even know what variant of SOC used in our mobile..

In Smart mobile launching events or News updates Once in a while we listen these names like

 QUALCOMM snapdragon, media Tek MT series, MediaTek helio series, apple A series 

Huawei Kirin processor, Samsung Exynos..so on

SOC mean system on chip, when we observe components in the mother board we can see like CPU, GPU, RAM ,ROM and other connectivity modules have you ever wonder these huge Components can be integrated on  single chip called system on chip

We know that these elements are user accessible these components are replaced or upgrade  Any time while in SOC we cannot change or upgrade the components ..

Here we wish to have computer  computing performance in our mobile that should fit with in Our hand ,for this we need to integrate same components in computer with in a single chip..

Advantages of integrating elements on single chip

First the components occupy less space ,less power, decrease system latency decrease heat out Put, we cannot called processor as SOC the reason is we have various components on the SOC

SOC have wide range of applications it is not only used in mobile phones .snapdragon launched a special type of processors for laptops they always connected to internet so they called always connected laptops. By using SOC in laptops we increase the battery capacity Up to 20 hours and even more ..
